How to Edit a PDF Online

Two kinds of PDF editing
Adding a text box, shape, note, or signature is different from changing existing paragraph text. The latter may depend on whether the PDF has selectable text and on editor capabilities.
Add notes and text
Open Edit PDF, upload a document, select an available annotation or text tool, place it carefully, and export the result. Zoom in to check alignment.
Scanned PDFs
A scan is often an image of the page. OCR can help extract readable text, but OCR results can contain errors and may not reproduce the original layout.
Protect the original
Keep a copy of the original PDF. Before sending an edited form or contract, re-open the downloaded version and check every field and page.
Use a non-sensitive test file first, then check the exported result before sharing.
